Le Spectre de la danse |
|
(translated with Babelfish) "It
is the structure, it is necessary to work now" are
the only words which Dupond and Neumeier in voice exchange
off after a dance in a rough state. Instantaneous filmed

the slave of "Petrouchka" on the music of Stravinski.
These believed images, without comment, make it possible
to the witness to plunge on line in the writing of the German
choreographer.

1996 : |
Patrick Dupond, le talent insolent |
|
(translated with Babelfish) This
portrait of Patrick Dupond, principal dancer who was a successively
director of the ballet of Nancy and the opera of Paris,
accounts for the dashes of the dancer for the contemporary
adventure. Punctuated many testimonys, it stresses its talent
("the genius ", will say Noureev) like on its
generosity, quality which always does not go hand in hand
with success.

1979 : |
She dances alone |
|
This picture concentrates on efforts
to make a documentary about the daughter of the famous Russian
dancer Nijinsky. Along the way it sheds light on the woman,
then 60 years old, who had tried to pursue her own career
as a dancer, with the problems and profits of such illustrious
forbears. Kyra turns out to be quite a woman in her own
right. Dornhelm does a decent job of combining seemingly
unrelated parts into a finely tuned whole. Although this
was primarily a US independent production, Austrian television
played an important role in the proceedings.
