First of all, I have to say that I've never
been particulary attracted by the ballet universe, etc.
However, one day, though I already had seen, curious, the Patrick
Dupond autobiography book, called Etoile, on the shelves
of many libraries, I decided to "give it a try", so
I bought it.
As I read it, I quickly see that the story
is well written, seems to be very interesting and I also discover
the difficulties, fights that a young dancer has to encountered,
even if he/she very talented from the start.
But there are also moments of joy, exploits
and I think these are the best parts of the book. Indeed, thinking
that YES this is really the career and the life of ONE man is
incredible for someone who doesn't know anything about the "ballet
universe".
So, in order to learn more about this dance
style, I decide to watch Billy Elliot, which reminded me
a lot Patrick Dupond's life.
Then I made searches to the Net to learn more
about Patrick Dupond and only find pieces of information on various
websites, but there was no website dedicated to Patrick Dupond
only, hence the creation of this website.
The next step would be to see a ballet performance!
So if Patrick Dupond reads theses lines and accept to let discover
his passion to a "novice", he can write me ;-)
